Coach, train or bus? How to travel throughout the Gold Coast
Every year, millions of tourists from Australia and around the world head to the sunny beaches of the Gold Coast. Many of them come for one specific purpose: to try the world-class Australian surf that can only be found in the Gold Coast.
The Gold Coast is very much ready to meet this huge number of visitors, thanks to its reliable and convenient public transportation system. So whether you’re living in Queensland or anywhere else, travelling through the Gold Coast is definitely not a gruesome experience.
A common means of transport to the Gold Coast is train. Daily Queensland Rail trips can take you to the beaches in the soonest possible time, as it links the Brisbane Airport and the Gold Coast. If you are travelling from Brisbane Airport you can catch the train every half hour, which will take approximately an hour and fifty minutes of travel on the rails. Travelling back to Brisbane is shorter as you would be able to travel back in an hour and 45 minutes.
From the Gold Coast train stations public buses can take you to Surfers Paradise and throughout the Gold Coast. Buses are readily available. Some bus companies that can assist you are the following:
Surfside Buses is a public bus transport system, and it offers prompt travel, allowing you to maximize your time at the beach. They provide a daily travel services from North Gold Coast to the south and everywhere in between. In addition to this, the Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle buses enable transfers between major hotels and other attractions such as the Gold Coast theme parks.
Private buses are also available for transport. These bus companies all stop off at the Surfers Paradise Transit Centre and provide services within the Gold Coast and to and from other nearby cities. Intercity bus lines include Premier, Kirkland, Greyhound and McCaffer. If you intend to tour Gold Coast, you may choose the Gray Line Tours and Scenic Hinterland Tours.
