Available flights to the Gold Coast

When visiting Gold Coast, it is best to reserve at Chevron Towers Resort ahead of time and plan out your flights and how you are going to get to your Surfers Paradise apartment.

There are two airports you could fly into to arrive in the Gold Coast: the Coolangatta Airport (30 minutes drive from Surfers Paradise) or Brisbane Airport which is an hour’s drive from the Gold Coast. There are lots of airlines which fly to both airports, including Qantas, Jetstar, Air New Zealand, Emirates, Pacific Blue, Tiger Airways, Air Asia, Cathay Pacific, Royal Brunei Airlines, Virgin Blue, Singapore Air, Korean Air, Garuda and more.

Take Virgin Blue or Jetstar Airways to Brisbane or Gold Coast airports if you want to fly with the cheaper airlines. Virgin Blue is not a luxurious airline, and you can save a lot. They don’t have pillows and blankets, so you better wear something to protect yourself, like sweater and socks. They also don’t serve food, you have to purchase it on board.

Virgin Blue has lots of perks, with discounts and specials the whole year round, so it’s good to take advantage of these discounts. Remember however, this is not the usual class airline you are imagining.

However, if you want to really fly first class, then you might want to fly with Qantas or Emirates where you get full meals on board and the flight attendants will really look after you. However, you will generally pay more for these nicer airlines.

From Coolangatta Airport, you will have to take a bus or shuttle to get to your Gold Coast accommodation. The price to central Surfers Paradise is usually around twenty Australian dollars, and the taxi going to Surfers is at least fifty dollars.

From Brisbane Airport you can hire a car and drive yourself down to your Chevron apartment. Or, you could catch a train down to the Gold Coast, from right outside of Brisbane Airport. There are also shuttles and taxis, but these are more expensive options of getting to the resort.

Once you arrive and are checked in to your Chevron Towers Resort apartment it is time to sit back, relax and enjoy your Gold Coast holiday.
