Chiang Mai Thai: Authentic Thai cuisine in the Gold Coast
The best thing about traveling is that you get to enjoy eating out and this is what makes my life truly electrifying. I decided to stay at Chevron Towers Resort because one of my friends recommended it to me. The apartments are at the heart of Surfers Paradise and very near many restaurants.
I have always enjoyed Asian cuisine, so deciding to stay in Gold Coast for 5 days I have the chance to try out some exotic dishes. The information desk at Chevron Towers Resort recommended I visit Chiang Mai Thai restaurant. It is an authentic Thai restaurant within about 5 minutes walk from the resort.
When I arrived at Chiang Mai Thai, I noticed that it was entirely different because the design is uniquely Thai with the elephants, furniture and traditional Thai decor.
I decided to eat indoors so I can admire the surroundings and also see what other customers are ordering. Indeed, the restaurant has an extensive selection of dishes to choose from. Every food that they serve there seems to be a special treat for me. All the food attendants are wearing their national dress and they smile all the time. Consequently, I need not worry because they are very much willing to assist me in all my queries.
To start, their chicken and corn soup is splendidly delicious. Their recommended curry dish is a unique blend of spice and sweetness which I found entirely enchanting. Truly, this particular Asian dish is combined with rice all the time. In view of this, I ordered coconut rice which is something new for me. I settled for a simple dessert of Lychees to round off my meal at Chiang Mai Thai.
The price is reasonable and the taste is enticingly exotic. This is a gastronomic treat for me. I can see why this Surfers Paradise restaurant is recommended and would recommend any of my friends to visit here if they are on holiday in the Gold Coast.
