Attending a conference at Chevron Towers Resort
I was attending a two-day business conference a month ago which was held in a hall where I was stiffly seated, bored, inside a darkened conference room for hours. I felt so confined I kept thinking a disaster could have been occurring outside the room without us attendees even knowing it. So, when I received a memo requiring me to attend another conference, I was not looking forward to packing and sitting through another boring conference.
The location of the conference: Chevron Towers Resort on the Gold Coast. The location was unexpected and I began to become excited about the upcoming conference, how bad could a trip to the Gold Coast really be?
We arrived at Chevron Towers Resort, a high rise structure of three towers amidst the sea, sand, sun and city at the heart of the Gold Coast, which perked up my senses like a cup of espresso. You might ask did I get distracted by such scenery? And the answer is, no.
The conference hall itself reflects the vibrant hues of the world outside, and it made the corporate atmosphere as pleasant as possible. It was more like a relaxed lounge setting and the natural light didn’t make me feel confined like the last conference I attended. We also got to see presentations in the theatre room at the resort, where we sat back in comfy recliner chairs. At the end of the first day I tried out a simple neck massage at the day spa below the resort in the Chevron Towers shopping mall, and I felt so relieved, it was just so relaxing.
My conference on the Gold Coast at Chevron Towers Resort has made me realize the other side of a long business meeting or conference. With a good atmosphere, nice surroundings and a luxury resort, I realised that a conference may not be so bad after all, and I hope the next conference I attend is as nice as the one at Chevron Towers Resort.
