Explore the Gold Coast’s Natural Attractions

If you feel lethargic and jaded, then it’s great to break free and visit the Gold Coast’s variety of natural attractions. Far from the fast paced lifestyle of the city, you can find a peaceful respite in the Gold Coast Hinterland, with lush, cool rain forests and many National Parks. Visiting the Gold Coast’s natural attractions is a real fun and nearby activity for the whole family, all quite close to Chevron Towers Resort.

Rugged terrain, refreshing rainforests and spectacular waterfalls can be found in Springbrook National Park. Springbrook is located on a long stretch of mountains, across south-east Queensland.  There are lots of beautiful scenic places which you can’t afford to miss.

Springbrook is situated 900 meters above sea level. It’s really cool even if you are visiting during the summer. I suggest that you visit during May and October to experience the sunshine without the rainfall.

Mount Tamborine is also a popular place to visit with natural bushland, orchards, winding rivers and lots of popular walking and hiking tracks to explore. Look out for native Australia wildlife along the way.

The Natural Bridge or Natural Arch is also located in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Travel out towards the hinterland and follow the signs out to this natural attraction. You will need to take a stroll through the rainforest on a walking track for about 10 minutes to reach this breath-taking naturally formed arch. There is a waterfall and swimming hole and you can even spot glow worms here at night.

Not far from the Gold Coast, approximately one hour drive south is Byron Bay. Travel down along the Pacific Highway where you will pass by many beautiful beaches along the way.

Watego Beach at Byron Bay is a pretty spot to visit, where you can easily access the Byron Bay Lighthouse. If you want to have a clear view of the Pacific Ocean, the lighthouse is where you can get the best view. Take 15 minutes walk up to the lighthouse; and you will surely find it an experience. Don’t forget to take your camera for a beautiful picturesque shot from the eastern most point of Australia.

As well as Byron Bay beaches, there are beaches right along the coast of the Gold Coast, with many to choose from running from Tweed Heads right up to South Stradbroke Island.

The best place to stay is at Chevron Towers Resort for easy access to these Gold Coast natural attractions.
