Scenic places to visit on the Gold Coast
During your stay at Chevron Towers Resort on the Gold Coast, there are many things you can see and do. If you are on a limited budget or are a nature lover, there are many scenic places you can visit, often at no cost. Some of our favourite scenic attractions on the Gold Coast which are all free to access are listed below:
Burleigh Heads National Park
Beckoning rainforest, grasslands, mangroves and lots of unique botanical life are only some of the attractions in Burleigh Heads National Park. If you want to spot some dolphins swimming by, or take a walk in its luscious forests, Burleigh Heads National Park has it all.
Cascade Gardens
A delightful family picnic area, with BBQ, shaded playground equipment for all ages, tranquil rainforest, traces of Aboriginal culture and sanctuary for water birds. Take the Kokoda Memorial Walk through authentic rain forest jungle, established to honor the men who fought on the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea during World War II
Springbrook National Park
This is known for creeks, waterfalls and paradise view. This is a cool and refreshing place. Once you pass this area, you will be revitalized and ready to face the world again.
Lamington National Park
Discover the rain forest and have a stay at O’Reilly’s. This is the best time to listen to the natural music of the forest.
Hinze Dam
If you are dreaming of fishing, Hinze Dam is the best place for you. This is a picnic area, with lots of vegetation and picnic tables, where you can linger and chit chat and spend a day with your family.
Mt. Warning Park
Captain Cook was responsible for naming this park. This is a place for camping, with wood fire barbecues, picnic areas and lots of nice views. You can also walk the Lyre Bird track which is only 20 minutes away.
Currumbin Rock Pools
This is a place where you can wade and swim, in the shelter of the bush with waterfalls, rope swings and more. There are perfect swimming holes for the young children as well as the older children. A great time for everyone!
Mount Tamborine
This is a beautiful place where there are lots of antiques, wineries, shops, roadside stalls, a brewery, cafes and more. There is something for everyone at Tamborine Mountain, whether you take a day trip to explore the galleries and vineyards, or spend a few days up the mountain in the Gold Coast Hinterland.
Nerang Forest Reserve
Nerang Forest Reserve is the place to go for some of that peace and quiet you have been aching for.
