The Gold Coast Outback Experience

My vacation in the Gold Coast, staying in my Chevron Renaissance Apartment reminds me of barbecue, beer, cowboy hats and rodeo music. Why you might ask? Because my favourite memory of my holiday in the Gold Coast was the Australian Outback Spectacular Show.

Australia Outback Spectacular on the Gold Coast screams outback. I researched a bit and found out that the word “outback” really came and originated from Australia. It resembles to something like “inner areas of Australia”.On first arrival at Australian Outback Spectacular housed in a huge tin shed, I was amazed. From the smell of the cooked, mouth-watering steak, to the square dancing to the rodeo music, I had never seen anything like it! This new form of entertainment was certainly a new experience.

The show tells everyone the story of the brave Australian soldiers who risked their lives for their nation. They usually tell the story of the Australian white horse brigade, who fought during World War 1. Also, included in the acting and production team are different animals, like dogs, sheep, horses, cattle and even camels. Entertainment is not just delivered by men and women, you know!

Other than the presentations of the out-of-this-world cast of the Australian Outback Spectacular, who could forget about food? Any fan of Australian steak wouldn’t miss the chance of getting to taste it during the show. The special 3 course BBQ dinner is served during the show. Imagine taking a bite of the cooked barbeque tenderloin beef with gravy while watching the story of the white horse brigade unroll, nibbling the deliciously steamed Queensland salad mix. And who would forget the Australian tea! I could never have this documented without having the chance to write about it while I stayed in an apartment in Chevron Renaissance Resort.
