Visit Tropical Fruit World in the Tweed Valley
Tropical Fruit World is approximately forty five minutes drive away from Chevron Towers Resort. This popular attraction is owned by Val and Bob Brinsmead. Tropical Fruit World has been around for more than thirty years, and it is producing exotic fruit to this date like pineapples, sweet bananas, giant jackfruits and other fruit you may have never heard of.
Known to be the largest plantation of tropical fruit varieties, Tropical Fruit World is located at the heart of the Tweed Valley in Northern NSW. The area is surrounded by volcanoes, and although they are extinct, the soil is very fertile and ideal for growing many different types of fruit.
While at Tropical Fruit World, you can enjoy cruising on its jungle river cruise, take a stroll through one of the many scenic rainforest walks or take a plantation safari and learn about the different plants and fruit varieties. Children will enjoy the miniature train rides, the exciting Treasure Island playground and the fauna park where you can see different animals and birds. There is even the option to feed a variety of birds and fish at the animal park.
One thing you must not miss while at Tropical Fruit World are the fruit tasting shows where you are likely to come across some tropical fruit you might never have tasted before. Visit the pavilion before you leave to purchase your favourite fruits to take home with you. The Rainforest Cafe is also open for lunch, drinks and ice creams too.
Before you leave Tropical Fruit World to return to your apartment at Chevron Towers Resort, make sure you visit the gift shop. The gift shop stocks a variety of fruit and memorabilia of your visit. Take some tropical fruit home with you, or a souvenir, natural skin care products, or one of the sauces and jams made from the fruit at Tropical Fruit World.
