Gold Coast Travelling Tips

Summer is definitely the perfect time to visit the Gold Coast, Australia. For me, there isn’t any other way to enjoy the sizzling summer than through relaxing with sunscreen and wearing my sunshades in the place where the golden sun shines as much as its name does: the Gold Coast. Keep in mind that summer days are hot and humid days, occurring from December through till the end of February. One tip is to make sure you book into a hotel or apartment that has air-conditioning as well as ceiling fans.

Isn’t it great to travel with your family or your best buddies or even only yourself, to enjoy the warm sandy beaches, lush hinterland and vibrant culture of this beautiful spot in Queensland? Travelling itself is already one great adventure, but like any other explorer, it is good to have some ideas and recommendations on where you’re heading.

The Gold Coast is one multicultural domain attracting many tourists year round. Expect to hear a lot of foreign tongues chattering all over the city. Respect is the best key to understanding, and you’ll see the wonderful colors of all of the tourists and locals on the Gold Coast. If you speak English, you may have a different accent, but you’ll be surprised how cordial and friendly the Australians are.

If you are travelling to the Gold Coast you’ll need a tourist Visa before you arrive in Australia, so you can get into the country. The only exception to this is if you are a New Zealand citizen or hold a New Zealand or Australian passport, then you can travel freely to Australia.  In case you want to get some alcohol in your blood stream, keep in mind that rules are rules. You have to be 18 with valid identification to drink in the bars and clubs, and you won’t find alcohol in supermarkets but in liquor outlets and hotels only.

If you want a whiff of royalty sans the exorbitant prices, why not opt to stay at the Chevron Towers Resort in the heart of the Gold Coast? I tell you, you’ll find it the place which will take care of you like one royal guest in Chevron Towers Resort, Surfers Paradise.
