Wet ‘n’ Wild on the Gold Coast!

Australia’s largest splashtacular rides and theme park is Wet ‘n’ Wild. It houses the longest slides in the country and the fastest! Wet ‘n’ Wild is located 20kms north of Chevron Towers Resort and Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.

The Mach 5 runs up to 85km/h. If you are riding the Mach, you will end up not remembering anything because the fast ride goes by so quickly. Then you can also go to the Blackholes, on which you really turn around fast, and is a really dark slide, until you loudly splash at the end!

You ought to try the Tornado because the journey is really furious and fast, as it is from a 15m high platform. You blast down a huge and long tunnel, and then will really splash into a swirling pool of water.

Now, if you want to try out the real Super 8 Aqua Racer, you have to be ready,  as your head goes in first. You race alongside other people on 8 slides in a row and try to go the fastest. Speeds have been clocked up to forty kilometres per hour. There is a timer which times you against your competitors which has an accuracy rate to 1/1000th of a second.

Wet ‘n’ Wild schedule varies depending on the time of the year, so it’s good to check it out before going there if there is a particular activity or show you wanted to see.

The park opening time is 10:00 a.m. daily, and the closing time varies, depending on the season or term time. The cost of admission is forty Aus $40.00; the children’s admission costs only $26.00, ages 4-13.  The pensioner admission costs $26.00.

If you plan to visit the magic three: Sea World, Wet ‘n’ Wild, Warner Bros. Movie World, it’s good to buy a three park super pass, because it helps you to navigate in and out of all three parks as much as you like for fourteen whole days. Even better, the parks are within easy access from Chevron Towers Resort.
