A Super GP weekend to remember
I have always been a fan of motorsport and love watching it live. This has been the reason why I booked a flight going to the Gold Coast in order to watch the Super GP races from October 22-25.
What I eventually did beforehand was to book for a four-day stay at Chevron Towers Resort. Why did I choose this resort? For the simple reason that it is quite near to the grandstands and race track where the Super GP cars would race past, so it was really convenient for me.
Since I am the only one travelling, I booked in to a 1 bedroom apartment at Chevron Towers Resort. When I got my keys to my apartment, it was a bachelor’s haven! Wow! The bedroom was so clean and modern with everything I could possibly want! From the kitchen to the living area and even the bathroom, were all flawless. The interior design was just perfect! I could even catch glimpses of all of the Super GP action from my own balcony overlooking Surfers Paradise.
I was starting to wonder whether to just stay inside my apartment or tour around Surfers Paradise before the Super GP engines started running. But I managed to tour around Chevron Towers Resort and have a glimpse of all of the resort facilities they had. What I liked the most was the “Beaches in the Sky”, consisting of beautiful lagoon pools, with sandy beaches, spa pools, waterfalls off the rocks, barbecue areas and plenty of tables, chairs and sunloungers to relax on.
After touring around the resort, I finally went out and took a stroll around Surfers Paradise before the Super GP started. Super GP over the four days was really, really fun and gave me an adrenalin rush as I watched my favorite car racers compete – which the Ford drivers took out in the end!
Overall, it was a great Super GP weekend. I was grateful that I choose Chevron Towers Resort, it made my stay really memorable and I can’t wait to come back again next year!
